Bridge Little Ones

Nursery/Preschool

Infants – 4 years old

Sunday Morning @ 10:30 am

We want to welcome all the little ones of The Bridge Church to join us each weekend in a fun, safe, nurturing environment where each little one can be introduced to the love of Jesus through the love of our wonderful volunteer staff.

Here, the children have their very own space to play and learn on their level while you experience a much needed time of refreshment and spiritual growth.

Our goal is to greet each child by name as we welcome them each week with smiles and excitement. They will ultimately look forward to coming to their very own class each week.

Preschool Curriculum – First Look by Orange

Everything we teach our preschoolers is based on one of three simple, but powerful, truths. The entire curriculum is constructed to meet your preschoolers where they are cognitively, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially. Through age appropriate activities, preschoolers are building their spiritual foundation so that by the time they graduate to Kindergarten they know these three basic truths.

  • God Made Me
  • God Loves Me
  • Jesus Wants To Be My Friend Forever

First Look has an entire Parent CUE strategy provided with the curriculum. We give parents, that’s you, materials monthly to encourage the learning to continue at home. We provide ideas for Play Time, Drive Time, Bath Time, Cuddle Time and Morning Time that connect what preschoolers are learning at church with what they’re hearing at home.

We even have a Parent CUE app that parents can download where they can watch a weekly video together as a family. We know you parents are going to love the Parent CUE resources we provide, almost as much as you’re going to love watching your preschoolers grow in their faith. It’s awesome and super user friendly! We can’t wait to meet your little one!

Our Rooms

Our rooms are stocked with age appropriate clean toys and have been designed to cater to each age group in safety and decor. To clean our toys we use all natural safe cleaning products from Melaluca. We take very seriously the health and safety of your little ones.

Each room also has a one way window where you can check on your little ones but they cannot see you!

Our Volunteers

Your child’s safety is our #1 concern. All of our adult volunteers go through a background check before they are allowed in the rooms. Our teen volunteers are trained and monitored at all times by the adults. Many of our volunteers are CPR and first aid trained.

Check-In/Out

Check-in…  As a new family we will have you fill out a registration card and visitor tags. Once you return your registration card, your child will be entered into our computerized check-in system. Each week after that you will be able to check your child in at one of the computer check-in stations. We will be happy to teach you how!

We have found it best for parents/ guardians to say goodbye at the door and allow the nursery volunteer to take your little one into the room. Please make a point to say goodbye, give a kiss, and tell them you will be back soon as this helps build security and trust.

Rest assured that if your little one is upset when you leave, it will only be minutes before they settle into their environment and begin playing. Should your little one continue for 15 minutes straight, we will text you. All of our volunteers are accustomed to helping your little one adjust happily to the room and the other little ones.

Check out…  Little ones will only be returned to parents/guardians with a code matching pick-up pass. If you do not have this pass, you will need to know the child’s password, or provide appropriate identification. Again, your little one’s safety is our primary concern.

Our policies

Parents/Guardians… For the physical & emotional protection of all the little ones we do not allow parents or guardians in the rooms, scheduled nursery volunteers only.

Sickness… We ask that you not bring sick little ones to church. We take very seriously the safety of the children and strive to keep everyone well. If a little one has a fever, rash, or anything contagious you must keep him/her with you.

Discipline… We do practice time outs for little ones having rough days. Hitting, biting, saying “NO” and refusing to listen are unacceptable behaviors and we will politely place the little one in appropriate time outs. If this does not correct the behavior, we will text you to come pick up your little one and try again next week.
