Kid’s Stuff for Adults

kids stuff powerpoint

Maybe you’re like me (Pastor Pete), raised in church, attended Sunday School and Junior Church as a child. If so, you remember all the great Bible stories we were taught. Stories like Noah and the Ark, David and Goliath, Father Abraham and Isaac along with scores more. Awhile back it dawned on me that in my 38+ years of ministry, I’ve never revisited these great Bible stories! After all, they’re “Kid’s Stuff,” stories to fascinate the kids with in Sunday School and Kid’s Church.

Well, no more! Starting this weekend we will begin to explore “Kid’s Stuff for Adults.” We are going to revisit some of the greatest stories in the Bible, we’re going to get reacquainted with some of the greatest heroes and villains of all time. However, don’t break out your toys and crayons, because “Kid’s Stuff for Adults” is not for kids. This series will take you places you’ve never been before. This series will challenge you with scriptural concepts that are definitely not “Kid’s Stuff!”

Building A Daring Faith

Building a Daring Faith

What does your faith look like?  Is it strong? Is it weak? Is it non-existent? Or, is it a work in progress?  You might respond, “You know, I’ve really not given it much thought.”  This response would characterize the faith of the vast majority of people today.  We really don’t give our faith much thought. However, we should give faith, not only a passing thought, but our full attention because Hebrews 11:6 declares, “And without faith, it is impossible to please God…”!

Did you catch that?  Without faith it is impossible to please God!
Now couple this scriptural truth with, “You know, I’ve really not given it much thought.”
FAITH is a critical part of our relationship with God, we had better not only give it thought,
we had better give it our full attention!

Join us in Building a Daring Faith! In this series we will discover:
•  What Faith Looks Like
•  How God Exercises Our Faith
•  How We Fail at Faith
•  How We Build Faith

It’s going to be an exciting journey!  Get onboard!

JESUS… the ONLY way?

jesus... the only way

Our current post-modern culture offers an international smorgasbord of religious choices through which we can improve ourselves as individuals and through which we can prepare ourselves for the life to come… that is IF there really is a life to come.

However, Jesus declared of himself,
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me!” John 14:6

And that’s the “rub” that catapults true biblical Christianity into the emotionally charged world of “political correctness!”

In this series, we will tackle this politically incorrect proposition, that Jesus is the ONLY WAY. By the end of our journey, you will gain confidence in Jesus’ declaration and you will be able to provide a defense for… Jesus as the Only Way.

LIFE after LIFE

life-after-life-web-16x9

Is there really life after this life? Or, as many declare, “when this life ends that’s it, we go into a state of eternal non-existence”. Is the hope of eternal life just something religious people embrace to medicate their fear of death? Or is there really something beyond the veil of human death?

And if there IS life after life, what’s that going to look like?

If we do transition to an eternal life experience, what are we going to be doing for ever and ever and ever and…?

Let’s journey together into “Life after Life.”

Jump Start

Really? Are you kidding? It’s a brand new year, but you’re going to settle being the same old you? Each New Year brings with it a fresh opportunity for change. Each New Year offers us a chance to “Jump Start” our lives. Really? You’re going to drag into 2016 the same old junk you’ve been hauling around for years?

DON’T DO IT! DON’T WASTE 2016! JUMP START YOUR LIFE!

Join Pastor Pete and tackle together the ‘junk’ that we need to jettison so that we can live the life that Jesus intends for us to live.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery!” Galatians 5:1

Breaking Free

breaking-free-16x9

Just how free are you . .. really? Maybe not as free as you might think!  Read what Galatians 5:1 declares:

It is for freedom that Christ has set you free . . . Jesus didn’t die on the cross in order to create religious rules and regulations that enslave us . .. Jesus died to set us free. But do we live in freedom or bondage?

Look how the verse finishes: “Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery”!   Many have done exactly that, re enslaved ourselves to many of the same debilitating life issues that Jesus died to free us from.

Join us as we unmask, then strategize to defeat, life challenges that are robbing your joy, peace, and ability to function positively in your job, relationships, and everyday life.

ARE YOU READY TO BREAK FREE?
